Meet Our Executive Team

Mike Grossman


Mike brings more than 20 years of entrepreneurial and executive experience to Inflection. He has been CEO of a diverse set of innovative, VC-funded software companies, including LiveCapital, Tempo, Attributor, SugarSync, and Zetta, all of which were ultimately acquired. Mike’s experience in large companies includes leadership positions at Intuit and Johnson & Johnson, and board roles at Borders and Quicken. He started his career as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company in San Francisco and Sydney. Mike holds an A.B. in Economics and a J.D. from Harvard University. He is passionate about his family, his cats (5 at present), international travel, Game of Thrones, tennis, creative writing (when time permits), and quiet irreverence.

Max Wesman


Max joined Inflection in 2012 to lead the planning and launch of GoodHire. He now oversees all of Inflection’s product strategy, roadmap, development, pricing, and growth initiatives. Before joining the team, Max managed and launched B2B software products for HP and Microsoft. He received an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and undergraduate degrees from the Wharton School and the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. His passions outside of work include international travel, golf, pickleball, cooking, home brewing, and escape room games.

Jared Waterman

Chief Financial Officer

Jared brings a number of years of financial leadership to Inflection. Jared most recently served as Senior Vice President of Finance at Yext (NYSE:YEXT), where he helped drive financial and operational strategy to scale the company globally. Prior to Yext, Jared was VP of Finance at Pandora Media where he helped bring the company public. Earlier in his career, Jared held various financial roles at CBS Interactive and CNET Networks. Jared holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Brandeis University. In his spare time, Jared enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with his family in San Francisco.

Siddharth Ram


Siddharth oversees Inflection’s engineering, IT and Info Security teams. He has more than 25 years experience at both large companies and startups, including multiple years at Intuit and Qualcomm. Siddharth is an adept technical leader and accomplished software developer. At Intuit, Siddharth served as Chief Architect of QuickBooks and the Small Business group, as well as VP & Engineering Fellow, where he led performance engineering, QuickBooks migration to the public cloud, and helped build businesses like QuickBooks Capital. His most recent project was QuickBooks Live, connecting small businesses with bookkeepers. Siddharth earned his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University and a bachelors from the National Institute of Technology in India.

Ellen Perelman


Ellen brings more than 20 years of marketing leadership experience to Inflection. She’s worked at large, public companies (Yahoo! and Intuit) and venture-backed startups where she’s had success building marketing teams and functions from the ground-up; retooling existing teams and functions; and scaling marketing and business performance. Ellen has a journalism degree from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Ellen enjoys yoga, hiking, scouting SF neighborhoods, and spending time with her daughter.

Joe Nagy


Joe brings more than 20 years of sales experience to Inflection. Following graduate school, he worked at NCR, where he learned to implement a strong sales process combined with the art of understanding customer needs. He worked at several startups, where he was often the first salesperson, or led the sales organization. His most recent leadership roles include Zetta, SugarSync, and Finxera, all of which have been acquired. Joe has a degree in Business and an MBA from the University of Kansas. He enjoys spending time with his wife finding the best food to cook and eat in San Francisco, as well as brewing beer, traveling, and racing old BMWs.

Brian Kielian

SVP Customer Support

Brian’s operational leadership spans over 20 years. With a particular interest and aptitude in leading expansion, both stateside and international, he has a rich history with organizations on the cusp of rapid growth. He joined companies like Affirm and PayPal during their infancy and subsequently led operations through international expansion and going public. He has also grown operations for many other companies such as Energy Pioneer, TPG, InfoUSA, TeleTech, West, Sitel, Teleperformance, and Transcom. Brian is a Nebraska native with a business degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. In his spare time, he enjoys snowboarding, snowmobiling, wake surfing, and flying planes.

Elizabeth McLean


Izzy is an FCRA-compliance attorney and expert in the background screening legal landscape. Prior to joining Inflection, she worked as an attorney for Hirease, where she honed her risk-mitigation skills and provided compliance guidance to gig economy customers such as Handy and Uber. She received a journalism degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctor degree with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law. She enjoys singing and playing acoustic guitar, bird watching, and listening to old jazz records. She lives in Tucson, Arizona, with her wife, two beagles, and a cat.

Tina Hawk

SVP Human Resources

Tina brings more than 25 years of passionate people leadership to Inflection. Most recently, she oversaw the global HR operations for Conduit Global, an international BPO with operations in the UK, Ireland, Philippines and the US. Prior to Conduit Global, she held several executive leadership positions at TriNet, including leading the HR Center of Expertise, Strategic Services, and HR Projects teams and serving as the Vice President of HR for SOI. Tina also has experience leading HR teams in the Banking, Staffing and Hospitality Industries. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Missouri State University at Springfield. She is an avid traveler, foodie, and wine connoisseur and enjoys spending time with her family.

Jeremy Lewis


Jeremy has been in product management and product leadership roles for more than 15 years. His experience includes building products and innovative technology for B2C, B2B and enterprise applications and platforms. Most recently, Jeremy served as President and Chief Product Officer for SimpleCitizen where he helped grow the B2C immigration product and launch the enterprise platform, leading to the company’s acquisition and rollout of the platform to thousands of global enterprise clients. Jeremy holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Utah. He lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and three children and is an avid fan of all things outdoors, but with particular love for skiing, boating, mountain biking and tennis.

Richard Hewitt


Richard brings more than 20 years of financial management and analytics experience to Inflection. Most recently he served as the CFO for PLOS where he was responsible for the financial stewardship of the world’s largest nonprofit open access publisher. Richard has held senior leadership positions with Monsoon Commerce, Alibris and Signatures Network, leveraging financial analysis to drive revenue growth. Richard is a UK Chartered Accountant member of the ICAEW and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from King’s College, London. He enjoys playing guitar, going to rock concerts, exploring the world of IPAs and going out to dinner with his wife and teenage son.

Elaina O’Mahoney

VP Product Management

Elaina is a fierce customer advocate, and has been instrumental in shaping global SaaS strategy for over 15 years. At Inflection, she manages the product strategy, roadmap, and execution. Prior to Inflection, Elaina led product strategy for several global organizations, notably as the VP of Product for CareerBuilder where she focused on creating valuable tools for global HR professionals in a high-growth environment. Elaina earned her MBA from Maryville University and a culinary arts degree from California Culinary Academy. When she’s not solving customer pain points, she is trying to make her passion for global food her family’s passion, but alas, her kids are stuck in the chicken nuggets phase.

Charles Kim

Senior Director IT

Charles brings 20 years of experience in the technology arena around team building, infrastructure planning, automation, and security. He has published two zero-day security findings, and has developed security and compliance programs around SOCII and PCI compliance for startups and SaaS-based companies. He holds technical certifications in information technology, cloud, and security disciplines and has managed large scale geographically dispersed teams in both operations and security for enterprise companies such as Oracle, and multiple technology start-ups in Silicon Valley with an emphasis on cloud-centric infrastructure and hosted applications. In his spare time, Charles enjoys participating in cross-fit events, landscape photography, and metal-smithing.

Jeff Blasius

Chief Architect

Jeff brings over 20 years of experience as an engineering leader and serial entrepreneur. At Yale University, Jeff co-founded the High Performance Computing group and sat as an advisor for the DevOps, database, and storage teams. Following Yale, Jeff was co-founder and CTO at (acquired in 2019). Before Inflection, Jeff led professional services for (acquired by Elastic 2017). Jeff holds a BS and MS from the University of California, Santa Barbara where he wrote software for deep ocean exploration. On the weekends, Jeff enjoys spending time with family and keeping extraordinary reef aquariums.

Geoff Lee

Senior Director Data Acquisition & Business Development

Geoff joined Inflection in 2010 and brings 28 years of experience in big data surrounding risk, screening, government/homeland security, and other solutions leveraging global sources. He oversees Inflection’s data acquisition and business development initiatives. Before joining the team, Geoff was CEO of a publicly traded technology firm providing investigative data solutions to local, state, and federal enforcement agencies. Geoff has a Masters in Criminal Law from Trinity University and an undergraduate degree from California State University, Fullerton. He has also received an executive certificate in business analytics from Cornell University. Outside of work, his passions include community service, kickboxing, international travel, and in addition to his prior military service, Geoff re-enlisted as a reservist currently serving in the California State Guard, Army Component Command.
